About Me
My paintings and sculpture reflect my life's experiences. I lived and worked in developing nations for more than thirty years, across more than forty countries.
This has had a profound effect on me. I have been moved by the unbelievable tragedy of genocide, the plight of refugees (of whom I was once one myself), the horror of child soldiers being forced to fight adults'wars, the aftermath of natural disasters and the complex and often linked challenges of inter-generational poverty, environmental degradation and discrimination.

But I have also seen the generosity and kindness of people who have very little to share with strangers, but share it anyway. And I have marveled at the beauty of many of these lands - their remote and often bleak rural areas, deserts, highlands, and oceans.
Again and again I have been awed by the bravery and serenity of their inhabitants.

These feelings and experiences, together with my lifelong love of the sea are what I try to capture in my art.
My artwork is found in both private and corporate collections, including in the United States, UK, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Russia, Venezuela, Canada and Turkey,
